Bodog Terminates Endorsement Relationship with 2006 WSOP Main Event Winner Jamie Gold

Confirmed from Bodog PR:

Statement from Bodog.com re: Jamie Gold

In light of our decision to cease all offline marketing initiatives in the U.S., and instead refocus our efforts on growing our entertainment brand in Europe and Asia, Bodog has ended our business relationship with Jamie Gold. Bodog has enjoyed our association with Mr. Gold and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

For more information, please contact pr@bodog.com.

Bodog.com's poker website content still continues to show a number of Gold-themed entries, including interviews and instructional pieces. While those may well be phased out over the coming days, one sharp-eyed observer noticed the removal of the Jamie Gold 600 NL table on the poker site itself.

Is this the real and entire reason for Gold's dismissal? Ehhh, we'll just take the release at face value and offer no further comment. ;-)
