Bodog Announces Sunday $200,000 Guarantee Tourney

What's an online poker site to do in trying times? How about taking its largest weekly tournament, and doubling the size of the guarantee? That's right: Despite the fact that Bodog promotes occasional overlays and often goes out of its way to create them, beginning this Sunday, Bodog will replace its normal $100,000 with an upgraded $200K event. The same buy-in, $100+9, remains in place.

So what's the deal with this? Well, now, that's hard to say. There is other big news afoot concerning Bodog, but Bodog has never taken a backseat to any site when it comes to luring in prospective pokerists with a big chunk o' green. Bodog is also running extra satellites for entry into the $200K, including 1-in-10-qualifying, 400-player-point events, providing a possible path to get into the thing for free. Bodog's points-entry tourney options had been a bit sparse of late, so this is as an added oppportunity.
