News From the Strange World of Poker...

It was a wild-'n'-wonderful week here at the official KAP blog. It started with a breaking news story about a scam purportedly foisted upon WSOP bracelet-holder Gavin Griffin. As if this lengthy journey into Bizarroland wasn't enough, your blogger was then beseeched by a couple of readers to mention the ridiculous Party Poker / Lavalife series of online "singles only" tournaments. Easy enough; this blog aims to please. But we all need serious news, too, so it was then on to more germane matters: a closer look at PartyGaming's first-quarter 2006 fiscal results; and a first for your blogger in this space --- a rant at one type of low-limit tourney player that makes a point of spreading the pain.
