Tribeca Exits U.S. Poker Market

Despite searching for a way around that damned ol' UIGEA, another UK-based poker network has decided that it's time to pull support for U.S. poker players. This time it's the Tribeca Tables Poker Network, home to Doyle's Room and several dozen other poker skins, the majority of which don't have a large U.S. presence.

This time it's not only the U.S. who's getting the boot. Tribeca, based in Alderney in the U.K.'s Channel Islands, has also decided that it can no longer access to poker players in Israel or Hong Kong.

Besides Doyle's Room, the single largest Tribeca/Tain skin, other Tribeca sites who had previously announced an intent to stay in the U.S., but will now have to find other arrangements, include Bowman's Poker, Golden Palace Poker, Never Lose Poker, Poker Barkada, Royal Blue Poker, Street Legal Poker, BetUSPoker, City Poker, and Tilt Zero Poker. Tilt Zero, Never Lose and Street Legal, along with Doyle's Room, comprise the Doyle Brunson Poker Network, a smaller related group of poker sites that also included the now-defunct PamelaPoker site --- this last being a news nugget we haven't had a chance to touch on here. Yes, Pamela Anderson's PamelaPoker site is no more, and headline writers are already having a field day with that one.

As for Doyle's Room, it may put them in a period of temporary disconnectivity, similar to that being experienced by Daniel Negreanu's Full Contact Poker, as they search for other network options.

We'll have our ongoing list of U.S.-friendly (and -unfriendly) sites updated in the very near future.
